Amir Andalib

Amir Andalib was born in Tehran in 1986. He earned a degree in Architecture at Tehran’s University of Art. Later in Milan he specialized in scenography for television and film at Brera’s Accademia di Belle Arti in Milan. 
Amir’s passion for photography began at the age of 14 when he started shooting pictures with his dad’s manual camera and won his first photography award at the young artsists’ festival Kanun Farhangi Amuzesh in Tehran. 
While at college he started shooting documentaries and he directed two for his university. At that time he also started drawing characters for animation and he also did some animation videos as well as stop motion.In 2006 Amir began working in an interior design company in Tehran where he worked for two years. In 2009 he won the contest to design the Tehran football stadium which still has to be built. After that he began working in the feature film business as assistant scenographer.In 2010 after graduating from college he dedicated himself completely to the film industry and decided to go abroad. In September 2010 he arrived in Italy where he signed up for the two year specialization scenography course at Accademia di Belle Arti in Brera, Milan.In Italy Amir directed his first video called “3/8 of reality”.In 2011 Amir won the Audience award at the Contemporary Art contest in Tehran. That same year, he directed a video clip “End of you” in stop motion for Iranian/French singer Nelly Melody. In 2012 Amir joined Bedeschifilm’s roster of young directors with exclusive representation.
