Luca’s date of birth is July 1 1955. Professionally Luca started out when he was aged 17, as photographer assistant. For four years after he continued both to study and work until he decided to dedicate himself totally to stills. Luca built his experience in tecniques like frame by frame, special effects and cartoons until he began working as operator assistant.For many years Luca worked with some of the best Italian lighting cameramen and at 25 Luca finally decided to undertake his career as DOP thanks to an opportunity he was offered in the creation of one of the most important shows on Italian TV which was totally shot using stock images. From that moment on, Luca started an important career. He shot very successful commercials for leading clients such as Barilla, Buitoni, Breil, Swatch, Nescafè, Corona Beer and Peroni. Luca also worked in feature films directed by Dario Argento, Mel Brooks, Renato Pozzetto just to name a few.During these years, Luca started specializing in shooting food and began mastering the use of digital technology. Luca today still carries on his work as DOP but he is also engaged as director in shooting food commercials where the food element features as the principal actor.
