Alberto Poli

Alberto was born in Monza in 1988. After earning a degree in Communication Psychology at Università Vita e Salute San Raffaele in Milan, Alberto dedicated himself to visual communication. Alberto started his career in 2011 as assistant director to well established directors like Giovanni Bedeschi, Richard de Aragues, Wayne Holloway, Luca Robecchi, Guido Belforte, Gigi Piola and Edoardo Lugari. That same year Claudio directed the commercial “Non conta quello che vedi, ma come lo vedi”(It does not matter what you see but how you see it) for Glassing glasses that was aired on MTV.

In 2012 Alberto won the best editing award for video “Fumare migliora la vita” (Smoking improves life) at a contest organized by LILT Milano (Lega Italiana per la lotta contro i tumori-Italian Cancer Association). In 2015 Claudio won a bronze at the Italian Art Directors Club for “L’Italiano made in Cina” a video shot with famous Italian singer Toto Cutugno that was aired on Discovery Real Time.

Recent works include a film commissioned by JWT Italia for a fund raising campaign for We World for women victims of domestic abuse. In April 2017 he directed a campaign for Pubblicità Progresso and Assolombarda whose aim was to show how factories have changed today thanks to the passage from mechanics to mechatronics.

At the 2017 Italian Art Directors’ Club JWT Italia won the special award Equal with the Indesit viral campaign #Doittogether  they commissioned Alberto to direct with Creative Director Sergio Rodriguez.

Alberto is fond of good music. He plays the guitar and the transverse flute. Directing is his true passion which lead him to join the roster of young directors in Bedeschifilm with exclusive representation.
